Tips for the New Year

You did not get where you are overnight. You didn’t suddenly wake up with habits and routines and likes and dislikes…These things all came about over the passage of day, months and years.

You cannot expect to change habits or develop new healthy habits overnight.

When you start with small changes, little steps, you are more likely to succeed.

Sticking with a small change will serve you better than trying a bunch of big changes at one time..

Happy Action:

Decide to make one change in your habits each week.

It doesn’t have to be big; in fact, a small change will be more effective.

It can be as simple as drinking an extra glass of water each day, or eating a piece of fruit every day.

If you do this every week, by the end of the year, you will have made 52 healthy changes!

    Dear Diana, I met you this past summer at the “Human Trafficking” fund raiser you hosted. I was grateful to attend and become more educated about this violation inflicted upon persons. I am always glad to receive your emails and encouraging postings. I suffer with poor self image and fear. I would really like to learn to love and like myself. I also would prefer to enjoy and participate in joyful living, rather than always being so responsible or choosing to isolate. I guess, I have recognized that healthy changes are needed for contentment. However, actually, putting these choices in place to become habit is essential to change my thinking to positive thinking. So, today I am saying, “I am worth the effort.”
