Stop Doing Things That Don’t Work Anymore

December 6th

Do not assume that because something has always been done a certain way, that it has to be done that way every year.

Happy Action:

If something is not working, change it.

Do sit-down dinners leave you exhausted? Set up a buffet.

Do relatives complain about food choices? Ask them to bring a dish.

If you always do the same things, the same way, and it isn’t fun anymore, stop it.

Think outside the box and enjoy your holidays.

Change can be fun.

(From Happy on Purpose Daily Messages of Empowerment and Joy for Women, by Diana Fletcher)

You have probably heard this definition of insanity: Doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results.

Think about it.

Awesome tip! There is so much freedom in realizing we can do something differently. And the holidays are meant to be enjoyed :-) Thanks for the reminder!
